Memories of Ingrid

Hi Nicole!

It's been a while since I last saw you at the funeral.
I drive past the graveyard every day, and I think of Ron, Karina, the kids, you and your family every time.
And I cannot understand....

As I told you when I first met you at Karina's house, I have only good memories about Ron.
I knew Ron from working in the x-ray dept. where I started in 1999.
He was a fantastic person to be around at work.
He was always very helpful, both towards colleagues and patients.
And always treating people around him very respectfully.
Nothing was a problem, and he was always very hard working.
And he would always tell you how he appreciated your company.
And we told him back.

He was smiling!
He was smiling a lot!
You could see him coming in the hallway with his white coat in a twirl behind him,
he was walking so fast!
And he was smiling!
He was always on the phone with Karina.
When he hang up, he would say "I love you" in Norwegian, a mix of Karina's dialect and the Stavanger-dialect.
Never embarrassed if we could hear him.
I think they were very much in love.

The last time I saw them together, I was in my car on my way home from work.
Karina and Ron came walking holding hands right past my car, but had only eyes for each other.
They had this bright and easy walk, like they were not really touching the ground.
And they looked to be so in love, that I just had to smile!
It was fantastic to see two people so happy and showing it on an ordinary weekday.
This is my last memory of Ron.

I wish I could have some more.
I miss him.

All my best wishes for your work on the blog, Nicole!

Warm regards, Ingrid.
