Welcome

This is the blog dedicated to my brother Ron. He was of dutch origin, but lived in Norway. Therefore you can see messages in Norwegian, Dutch, as well as English.

If you have known my brother, no doubt, you have some beautiful or funny memories of him. I intend to collect those memories, because it would be nice, especially for the children, to have a book (which I want to make for them), containing pictures, but also words of and on their father. The idea is, that later in life, for instance when they reach puberty, Ron's age now (34, 2009), or later still, they can read about their father and how other people experienced him. They will know and can read that he loved them very, very much (they meant the world to him), and read about their father's life and character. Somebody proposed to also make a website/blog. This is it.

Please write some words of how you remember him, some anekdote or funny story, maybe a beautiful memory or something you may have learned from my brother, maybe something else.

I'll collect the words and put them in a beautiful book for his children, Sebastian and Pernille.

If you have a story to share with the children, but not on the blog, please e-mail to nicole@(removethis)nicolesegers.nl or if it doesnt work to SeN@(removethis)hasdb.nl

Kind regards, Ron's sister

  1. Ron was allways friendly, smiling and laughing when I met him. He was clearly a man engaged in his activities. I remember he was voluntarily teaching the pupils at school about his the skeleton. I was impressed that he was involved in doing this, and I know the children liked it. I wish I had known him better.

  2. Ron is dead. I can´t realize.
For several years I was sending short emails to his account in Stavanger Hospital without any reply. And now I know the reason!!
I was working together with him in Stavanger hospital. Me as doctor from Germany without any idea how the Norwegian health system acts, he a man like me from continental europe with the same humor and the same interests.
Football, making jokes, often under the belt line: things, men love to talk about.
I pray for him, light him a candle, everything a good catholic can do!!!!!!!!

I always will remember You, I am so sad!
