Memories of Audhild

I have many memories of Ron, but not many including the children. But he often told us about Sebastian and Pernille, how proud he was. One of the last things he said to me was how proud he was that the children were becoming such good swimmers, and he showed a very good picture he had taken of Sebastian swimming. And I also remember him talking in the phone with Pernille, who just lost a tooth. "I`m so proud of you, Pernille!" he said, and I could hear the little girl say (she was talking very loudly:)): "I`m proud of you too, daddy!". I tought this was a very touching moment, and I mentioned it several times for Ron, how nice I thought it was.

We mostly spent time together at work. But a couple of times he invited some of his colleagues to his house for his famous "pommes frites" with mayonnaise! Yummy!

I wanted to share a memory of Ron, and some pictures from that day, and if you want you can use it in the book. If not I thought it would maybe be nice for you to see them anyway. I don`t know Ron`s children very much, and they don`t remember me(I think). But in march 2007 they came with us to Bersagel/Eskeland, a place where my father grew up, and my parents have some houses and a little cottage by the sea. We had a good time, had a barbecue, hot chocolate, and the children played. It was me, David, Monika (Ron`s colleague), Gunnar (Monika`s husband), Anna (their daughter), Ron, Sebastian and Pernille. Sebastian and David played football, and Ron was so proud of Sebastian, all the tricks he could do! After a while we went down by the sea, where the children looked for fish in the sea, shrimps and maybe some crabs? It seemed to be too early in the spring for crabs, but the children were very happy when they managed to catch a little fish! I think they all had a great time! I know I did!

Regards,
Audhild

Audhild: Ron`s colleague (and married to David; who took family photos of Ron and family at Sola, in 2007?)

Audhild wrote to Nicole: It is so nice of you to make a blog about Ron, and also the book for his children. I worked with Ron, and still I feel it is so unreal that he is gone. He was a great colleague, and I miss his smile and his sense of humor, I miss his voice when he shouted : "Good morning, Audhild!", well, I miss everything about him!! I`m glad to have known your brother. He meant a lot to a lot of people. He lives on in our hearts forever.
