This song I have written after a beautiful experience with Ron. He took his children (Pernille was still in a pram), Marc and me to the beach. We took the kite, because he wanted to show how wonderful it is to have a kite, 5 meters wide! The kite was magnificent and really something exciting. He taught me how to do it and it took me up in the air for a few meters. Really fantastic!!
At the time I was a bit down, but this really showed me the beauty of life...

Childhood Ron - Skateboard | Jeugd Ron - Skateboard
Ron had een groen skateboard en ik een gele. Die gele had ik gewonnen bij een wedstrijd ballon-blazen-tot-ie-kapot-was. Mijn skateboard was eigenlijk fijner en soms mocht hij op de mijne. We vonden het heel gaaf om lekker hard te gaan.
Ron had a green skateboard and I a yellow one. Mine was a price at a competition in Belgium and it was actually better than his was. Sometimes I would let him use mine. We loved to go fast!

Aan het strand zijn Ron en ik altijd in ons element geweest. Ron en ik hebben maar wat zandkastelen gebouwd in onze kinderjaren! We hebben dat ook nog in Venetie gedaan met zijn kinderen en we hebben ervan genoten!
Ron and I were really happy at the beach. Ron and I have built beautiful structures when we were children. We still did so in Venice with his children and we loved it!

Op vakantie in Frankrijk. Mijn broer en ik hebben heel Frankrijk zo'n beetje gehad in onze jeugd. Dat was altijd erg leuk. Achterin de auto gingen we altijd computerspelletjes doen en was er flinke competitie! Op vakanties was hij samen met mij altijd over rotsen aan het klauteren en springen. Dat deden wij graag!
We went on vacation in France. My brother and I have seen the whole country in our childhood. This was always great fun! In the back of the car we always played computer games and we were pretty competitive! On vacations he and I loved to climb on rocks and jump from one rock to another!
